These rock/stone studies always fascinate me. I have hundreds of photos that examine textures and colors and patterns found in rock. Super work, Amy.

That is so striking! What unique dramatic landscape that makes! I'd love to see that!

This seems washed out. I wonder whether a high-contrast B&W conversion would put the emphasis more on the interesting shapes.

Very magical landscape. The texture is so alien. Gets one of my two 9s.

Excellent earthy natural weathered spots here.

very interesting. IMO --> cropping out approx. top 1/3 to eliminate the bright right upper corner would have greatly improved this picture and kicked it up a couple points.

There's a great shot in here. The bit in the center front, cropped tight, would have been outstanding. In fact, almost anything in near frame would make an outstanding shot. A common mistake is to try to include too much and this is a classic example. I'd LOVE to see you shoot this again but explore the near field objects. Zoom in tight on some of the interesting elements. I think You'd have several outstanding images.

most unusual landscape, fits the challange well, let down just a little by the sky, great colour, and well framed.

I love this landscape and would like to see more! Square composition looks great.

Oh, very good! Reminds me of some sandstone formations on Hwy I south of San Francisco. Wherever you took this, it's a fine interpretation. These are hard to do.

Very funky-looking landscape. Almost looks like some kind of skeletal monster head over on the left, and one in the center/bottom too, now that I look more closely. Looks like it could be a really fun place to experiment with angles and crops.
