Steel Workby jdannelsComment: Congrats, Joe! Good demonstration that it's the photographer more than the camera. :) |

Alone in the nightby LalliSigComment: Although I'm a bit tired of Icelandic shots of the Northern Lights, I realize that's just because I've seen so many of them here on DPC. It's still a spectacular photo, and I'm voting accordingly. |

Greenby indridistefansComment: Another standard DPC shot that we've seen a million times. However, it's still spectacular. |

An Egg That Was Never Found..by Beautiful-JoeComment: I like the concept. But it's too blurry and you don't show enough context. For example, showing a kid silhouetted against a bright hallway, walking away, while the egg sits in the lower right corner. |

blue eyeby k4ffyComment: So, did you see the winning Spinning shot and figured you'd try it? Either way, it's just not as good. I think it's because the Eye is much smaller here. The blue lights are pretty, though. |

9:45 PMby bjoernComment: I'm sure this subject has some potential, but this shot isn't bringing it out.
First, the centered composition isn't too interesting. Show us some context - for example, is the moon off to one side, or some stars?
Second, it's pretty blurry. You really need to use a tripod or put the camera down to take good night shots. You lose some visual interest because the bricks aren't clear.
Third, the lighting is ... not especially engaging.
Good effort, though - keep shooting and trying different things. :) |
