Very well seen and shot. I just love how you framed the bright people against the dark background! I suggest that you shoot for you. If you happen to hit one most voters like, too, then great. But make yourself happy first and foremost. :)

Also, any score above 6 is good here at DPC. And your commenters obviously loved it! So you have strong evidence you connected with a group. That's my personal goal on every shot.

I know this nightmare personally. I think you captured it very, very well. I usually think the scores are about right, but this one strikes me as too low. You clearly hit it out of the park with the commenters, though, which is always good - it shows you found your audience. My guess is that people who don't have kids just won't be hit the same way.
