My first thought was, "that's not a Robin!" I Googled "red face bird UK" and wouldn't you know it; that's a Robin. That looks nothing like the Robin we have here in the US. Yours is much cuter. Look at that fwuffy wittle tummy... awe...

I wonder how many voters would have taken points off in the US for misidentifying the bird. It might not be all that many actually, since it's so fun to try to prove people wrong when identifying a species.

The shirt she's wearing makes this photo for me. Had she just worn a black shirt it would be like any other headshot, and I would have quickly glanced over it. It's quite amazing how much those sequins add to the interest. They really do complete the photo.

I can't stop staring at this image. My first thought was that this can't be legal in Basic, but I couldn't figure out how you would have done both eyes so well in Advanced either.

I can only hope you post how this was done after the challenge is over. I keep thinking "redeye", but my only guess is it has something to do with colors and how they convert to black and white in something like Channel Mixer.

Wow, what a gorgeous little girl. She has an incredibly powerful classic look to her. Those eyes are captivating.

At first I thought the image didn't do her any justice, but maybe it does. Maybe that's partially why she's so striking. I simply don't know what to think.
