I don't get it. Green basket reeds = Guantanamo? The composition is neither clever nor humorous. If you are going to try to make a political statement in a photograph, you really need one or the other. This set up is so obviously contrived and yet it is still confusing.

I get the feeling that you are attempting to make a political statement and I can't quite figure it out. The blur in this photo is pretty overwhelming vs. the partially obscured part that is in focus. All in all, this photo confuses me.

I've noticed that political statements have a hard time doing well at DPC. I think you have some voters that can't get beyond the political message and see the photo with a photographer's technical eye. The composition of this photo is pretty cluttered and the lack of contrast hurts this B & W. The focus isn't very sharp, either.
