Sagittarius: by LydiaComment: Sorry but I am going to have to give a low vote because I'm a Sag, and this is NOT a centaur. A centaur is half-man, half-horse. Sagittarius is a centaur and an archer. |

The Lookby MinsoPhotoComment: Great lighting and subject, I just wish there weren't so much white flanking her and a little more headroom... in other words more of a portrait crop than a landscape. Also the darker arm on the left is a little offputting, looks dirty, just draws my eye in the wrong way. Hope this helps! |

Over the Riverby cowboy221977Comment: Hey Adam, I don't know if you've requested a critique or not on this image, and an official critique will help you too. So let's just call this an expanded comment, based on what work of yours I've seen and/or critiqued.
First off, your photography is definitely improving. You have a much better grasp of the basics and your composition is improving, though in this case the bridge is too centred. Great leading lines, now read up on the rule of thirds! However, one recurring theme seems to linger. This is a set of rails and a bridge, full of atmosphere...but it's like a stage that has been set, and now we're waiting for the play to start. We need action - maybe a buddy and his dog, buddy alone, buddy with girl or buddy with some kind of funky prop - to really engage the viewer. You're good at shooting backdrops as it were, but we need to see more to get those votes up. The set has been dressed as they say, now bring on the actors!
hope this helps, feel free to PM me,
