This is very nice, but I think I have to compare this to another strong swan photo in this challenge, and that one is just a touch sharper, plus had the open bill. However... good frozen action and overall strong photo.

In the "must have sharpness" world of dpchallenge, I'm not sure how you'll fare, but I like the super select focus (lensbaby?), and I think there is some real interesting energy in this shot.

Water Glass Eyes

This reminds me of that movie top secret when the guy has a magnifying glass in front of a huge eye and then when the glass is moved the guy actually has a huge eye. So.... it begs the question--you don't really have three eyes do you? Anyhoo, nice funky effect here... I think you may have a bit to much space up top and on the left, I may have cropped closer.

immediate feeling of the grimyness of this photo. The texture on the hands and bars is great. I only wish the brown tones in the BG were a bit more subtle--specifically the patch on the right, to me its a touch heavy.
