Abbeyby digitaldaveComment: Somehting terribly unreal about the colours - and textureless about the surfaces. Very neat shot though... |

The font of all knowledgeby RussComment: Just a tad too strongly lit. I like the materials but they're losing something of their texture - either through the harshness of the light or through overuse of PP sharpening. |

Three churches, two confessiansby carampitoComment: Possibly a trick for someone who's done his ecumenical homework and understands the title... A great deal of range is demanded, from the darkness front and back to the floodlit near walls. I think the composition is right on the money though. neat shot, but a pity the subject(s) themselves are washed out. |

Names on the wallby RMyers1314Comment: The names should almost be a no no, but of course they have to be there...
The difuse reflection gives depth to the surface.
I can't help wondering if a limited depth of field on the names (focussed on the letters around the middle, but ever so slightly blurred on the nearer and farther ones) would add to the mood. I guess it would throw the reflection so far into formlessness as to lose the effect there. Good idea for a fresh angle on the challenge. |

Holy and peaceful placeby mikklandComment: It's a neat trick getting the shadow in there, but IMO it's more of a neat trick than a good use of space. (sorry) |
