(blur, high key, rule of thirds)by krnodilComment: I think the artistic effect didnt work out all too well here. I think the blown out parts make it hard to enjoy the scene that you were trying to portray here. If it were toned down some I think i would have enjoyed this shot better. |

Backlighting, Bokeh, High Keyby mitalapoComment: I don't think your bokeh background really adds anything to the way the photo is viewed and could be considered more Shallow DOF. The photo is plain and simple which is nice, but there is nothing really to give it an extra boost or to make it stand out. The black and white is a great look for it. |

Blur, Deep DOF, Long Exposureby maxxumgComment: I like the way the water is captured using the long exposure to blur it and give it motion. I think your angle and tight crop aren't adding much to the photo though. |

SOLEMN SILENCE ( Bokeh - Portrait - Rule of Thirds ) by HighNoonerComment: Your Bokeh doesn't really add or take away from the photo. To me it's just Shallow DOF. YOur sun his too harsh on his face and his facial expression is not good. It looks as if he smells something foul. I thnk the crop is a bad crop. The soft light does try and help bring something to the photo. I like that part. |

Deep DOF, Rule of Thirds and Stop Actionby snafflesComment: Your stop action is very subtle and alot of peole are probably missing it. some would expect a more extreme action shot rather than just wind blowing because the stalks could look like this in the very slightest of winds. I'm not sure if I would classify this as deep DOF. Your closest points are not as in focus as your furthest points, but it may be enough not to be too nitpicky about it. For me, my eyes are drawn across the center of the shot horizontally, which makes it hard to see a rule of thirds. As for aesthetic quality. I like the photo. I t probably could have been boosted by bumping up the brightness (curves layer). |

Leading Lines, Rule of Thirds, Tilted Angleby MichaelCComment: This is one of the few extreme tilts that I like. Most of the other tilts did not workf or the phots This did. I'm not quite sure what the purpose of the moon was other than filling up negative space. |

Backlighting, Bokeh, Shallow DOFby banmornComment: There really isn't much here. I wish there were something here to add interest to the p hoto. I'm also not a big fan of the interesting parts of your subject fading to blur. |

Centered comp, Deep DOF, Rule of Thirds.by pallComment: I'm curious...how are you getting Centered composition and rule of thirds? Those two techniques are opposites. You either have your subject centered or on a third. You actually managed to get a third and not centered.
Still a quality photo and I'm bumping it up a point. |
