Fireby sessaComment: There are just too many straightforward fire shots in this challenge. What makes fire interesting is the context. Where is it? What is it doing? Is it serving a productive purpose or in a mode of destruction? Fire for fire's sake is just not special enough. Fire for fire's sake is just boring. |

Fire Works In Mysterious Waysby mikkiowensComment: I think that the fireworks challenge is still too fresh in people's minds for this shot. It doesn't compare to what we've seen and know is possible. However, it's nice to see something a little different from the rest of the entries. |

Shadow and Flameby indridistefansComment: There are just too many contextless, dismbodied flame shots in this challenge, and to be honest none of them are terribly interesting. This is much like the Fireworks challenge, where the photos that scored best actually placed them in some kind of context. This one is just too busy and chaotic. |
