09 - Berries (Red)by ErikVComment: So so for me, you have some excellent images that I truly enjoy. In this image the upper plane of focus is distracting. The contrasting color is great, but there seems to be some type of pp artifact through out the image. |

07 - Pineby ErikVComment: very good. The varying placement of focus gives the image movement. |

06 - Leavesby ErikVComment: Love the albino slug...oops...someone already mentioned that. I like the detail in the upper leaf. |

The place where the sidewalk endsby enajjComment: Great image, I find it underrated, at least based on my tastes! I disagree with you in that the color would have scored better. Who cares! The sepia tone tugs at the heart; makes me yearn for the childhood summer days spent at the beach. Growing up in Southern California, that was nearly every day! As a point of critique, I feel that you could have made a bigger impact with a stronger composition, specifically the sky. I find myself scrolling down to "crop" some of the sky out. Still a successful image because it spoke to at least one viewer, and that was before I read the title! |

my little loveby aimeethetooComment: Very elegant, yet I feel his energy to run, explore, and enjoy life. Clearly the pose brings this out, but it is accentuated by the negative space. I believe you have captured his youth!
BTW, we have a third on the way. The girls want to name him Aiden (presuming it's a boy!), naturally their second choice is Ben. I think my wife but the Aiden bug in their ear! I'll let you know in March... |

Originalby bspurgeonComment: Originally posted by PhotoInterest: I think the color version certainly did this shot justice and perhaps, you might have done well to have left it in color. It's sad that you felt that you needed to compromise the artistic view of this shot in favor of "technical perfection" as this truly is a beautiful photo as is here. |
Thanks for your comment. Don't worry! I made no compromise. I have a strong preference for black and white photography, so this color version never had a shot! |
