This is another exercise in the arrangement of a still life. I really like this image, a nice strong funk. I suppose a square crop, or 4x5, to bring in the symmetry you sought in your arrangement. Gave it a 6.

Don described the positives below; however, you may have been able to leverage that further. It's chaotic, which I like, but to be an effective chaos (look at images from clive_patric_nolan and cutout to cite two examples) it needs to have purpose and a sublime order. A well controlled chaotic image will have a path to lead the viewer on a journey. This image does not reach that level. With this image, I would have explored as many perspectives and various apertures to get a feel for the patterns of lines, highlights, and shadows. Seek to understand these relationships within your chosen subject/muse/etc, and you will create a lasting image.

I gave this a 5, based on the concept, mood, and intent that I saw you reaching for with the skull, color, and titile. Again, the composition is lacking a dynamic component to stimulate me and pull me in. It's just there. Red. Staring. Don posthumous described it perfectly, and Brian bvynoted what I felt as well.

Still life photography is very difficult in my opinion, practice the arrangement of objects to convey the emotion/story/etc. Practice with natural light and anything that will manipulate that light to enhance your end game. That is what this image is missing.

A well earned brown, congrats! ;)

I gave you a 6...so I liked it for it's funkiness and attempt to be different...however, it's not what the voters expected. Where is the real skyline? The horizon is crooked, and the composition is static and does not stimulate the imagination. A 5.27 is a good score for this image. Congrats on the bling, and your courage.

I'm all for bucking the theme, but you didn't even come close to meeting the challenge...and you still got a 5.0x. Well done on putting up a groovy image, motion blur and all.
