Lava Surf by orvaratliComment: Great image. My favorite in this challenge, so far. This is truly high contrast.... with no details lost in the highlights and not too many lost in the shadows. Great! |

Scotby tooterComment: I understand what you were trying to do. But, my first and second reaction is that this is underexposed where it counts, losing too much detail in the shadows. |

Eagle Nebula, M16 by CyMaNComment: Of course, this is beautiful. Probably the challenge blue ribbon. There are some hot pixels, which do not look the same as the stars. The star effect on the shining stars is very nice. Great astronomy. Bumping up a bit. |

The Creators Masterpiece -- The Milky Way rising over the Pines by jlanoueComment: Beautiful. Although, the image raises some questions. If you used an equitorial mount to track the stars and milky way to get this great exposure, why are the trees in unblurred silhouette? edited to add: Now I understand. Thank you! Since your procedure has been validated, this certainly deserves a top score. (10) |

Lasers That Explore The Heavensby AlexbalixComment: This is a little confusing. The laser lights are great, but I don't really understand the fish-eye look through what appears to be an elongated, distorted tube. |
