Can't wait to read about how you did this... it looks like a night time shot, and that looks like a star to the left of the moon. Interesting shot to say the least!

This is surreal. I'm curious how you got the moon to swell up to that size relative to the earth, while preserving all the detail on the ground. Nice job! A nine for you.

beautyful picture :)

I like the "over-exposure" of this. Great effect.

I'm thinking this will do well. Really great shot, well done.

The moon is a little too bright for me. This is a very difficult shot due to the extream darkness and light. This becomes a compromise between blowing out the whites or underexposing the darks. I personally prefer a slight under exposure of the moon so it is not so overwhelming. Of course the land and trees will be darker. Again just a personal preference. Good luck.

All I can think of is '...like a big pizza pie...' but it's not Amore to me. It looks like a real night shot because of the lighting of the houses: porch lights. And, I can see a couple of stars in the sky. But, the 'Moon' is freaking me out. It looks more like the Sun. During the voting submission days, the Moon was nowhere near to being full. If it were the moon during that submission day phase, I don't think it would look that round no matter how long of an exposure. If it were the Sun (and you severely photo-shopped the photo), I know no stars would be visible. So, I don't think the photo was taken during the submission dates but I can't be certain. So, I like the photo, it's really cool looking and that's what it's all about. Unless the 'Hokey Pokey' IS what it's really all about. I'll shut up and go with an 8.

Cool image.
Full moon? Then this couldn't have been taken during the dates of the challenge.
However, I'm giving it a 7 voting as though it were legal, and leaving it up to the SC.

Nice composition and contrast, I love how the land flows down to the see just under the moon.
06/04/2008 02:26:33 AM
A very smooth feeling. Great shot.
06/04/2008 01:18:14 AM
That is the brightest moon ever. Well composed.

It seems that you did not realize this was running under advanced editing rules at 720px. Beautiful shot.
