Shot on a cloudy day, my first real attempt at tonemapping/HDR, hope everything I did is legal... lots of adjustments in Lightroom, edited in CS3 (mainly cloned out a distracting piece of bridge) and processed in Photomatix. Returned to CS3 and some color adjustments, resize, save for web

Nice composition. The processing makes this look like an old painting and is not to my taste.

Based on the TN I thought I'd skip it, but I'm glad I didn't! Great graphic effect, works really well. Just a pity you didn't get more/the rest of the stern on there as well (or didn't it work out?). Anyway, your effort was well invested!

Nice treatment, looks like a drawing

The HDR makes this look like a colored-pencil drawing. It's interesting. Dark corner in upper left is a bit distracting, but rest of texture & detail is nice.

lots of halos in the rigging which means over sharpened unless that's the effect you intended

some vignetting in upper left too

This is the most interesting looking ship in the challenge. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't do it justice. Congrats on finding such a great subject though. :)

this appears to be an hdr/tone map. The problem with tone mapping is that sometimes it does not get in between little lines. The triangles in created from the mass lines is lighter than the clouds outside of the triangles.

Nice composition but watch your HDR halos.

another of my favorite methods where you take a photo and create a scene that could be a canvass painting. Love that! If any time pm me a quick description of the process. Nice work/8

Generally, I don't like these processing effects, but you have found the perfect balance between interest and craziness. Nice job.

Nice HDR, not sure the close crop works here since the back of the ship seems like the best part of the boat. 6

Great composition and subject. That said, I hate your pp. Why did you overprocess this beautiful image? This is an example of the evils of photoshop. Sorry to be so gruff! But, I see a potentially great photo here! I'm so disappointed you've caused such haloes around the masts with dodge/burn and destroyed the shadow/highlight interplay in the ship. The sky looks like end-of-days. There are horrid, black/dark gray vignettes in the upper left and top. This is not an image anyone would every see with one's eyes. You've jumped over the edge of image manipulation. I certainly hope you'll accept these heartfelt comments as constructive criticism.

not a popular trick for DC but I think it looks awesome here

Love the tone mapping on this... some things don't look good with this much but this particular scene does... love the subtle colors!

I really like your processing technique here....overdone in a good way! Feels like a vintage maritime postcard! *7*
