Steadfastby sophiawoodComment: Outstanding bw image. Let's see.... I'm not exactly sure, but this looks like the area above Black Lake, but it could be several others places in the Rockies. |

Fishing at Duskby TiNComment: Love the luminous glow. This image takes me away to this far place and I am happy. 10 |

Tranquilityby gpureticComment: sky posterization near the horizon distracts from an otherwise pleasant scene of ducks. |

Kama'ole sign off by DennisheckmanComment: Love that horizon line placement choice. Easily the most accomplished image in this challenge. The sky is just right. The ocean is super interesting. I expect this to ribbon. Great job! 9 |

Morning calmby cogeroxComment: I hope this will ribbon for you. You've captured wonderful luminous glow on the water, interesting detail and a nicely detailed sky. Against a bright sun, this is a major accomplishment. 9 |

Stormy Departureby Brent_SComment: This is my pick for the blue ribbon. It's a great scene with the rain shafts filtering the sun. And, the ship and harbor are great elements of interest. Great tonal range and superb composition. 10 |

A Clouds Ballet at Sunrise by AllenPComment: Magnificent sun star. I love the sky. The image could have been better had you allowed more shadows in the areas which would have been naturally in silhouette. By HDR illuminating so many normally dark areas to such a mid tone gray, it hurts the natural appearance. I don't mean you had to let all go to silhouette, but make you could have made the scene look more like what the human eye can see when looking into shadows against the sunshine. |
