Glorious drama in the sky and rock formation detail. Masterful retention of detail in the shadows. Geologically, this is very interesting. The uplift nature of the rocks and the horizon causes the viewer to stand in awe of the history. This is a fine representation of the beauty of the wilderness. One of my top 10 picks. 9

The foreground elements of the downed old trees in the mirrored water give the image a very pleasing three dimensional effect. Great control of exposure throughout. The sky is natural looking enough, with pretty good detail in the wispy clouds. The far shore seems just a bit distant with some shadow detail lost in the forest. But, I like the scene. It's one of my top 10 picks. 9
