Day 6by bohemkaComment: One thing we know about Bald Eagles, there will be a river or lake with open water nearby so they can catch fish. On March 11, 2012, it's most likely a river. Eagles prefer to be treated to easy fishing. So, there's likely a roller dam nearby which stuns the fish. Isn't it amazing how well the Bald Eagles have recovered from the DDT disaster of 50 years ago. I think you did well to spot the raptor. Excellent environmental shot. |

Unfurlingby MaryOComment: Pleasant artistic presentation. To my eye, this would absolutely qualify as Fine Art. It would sell in my gallery as wall art. |

The Ides of March 7:14 AM by hahn23Comment: Originally posted by pixelpig: Richard, I'm sorry for the stress the wildfires cause to you & to all who live there. Hopefully you will soon get some winter weather to help out. |
Thanks for your comments. I wish for some relief, too, but due to mismanagement of this wildfire (park officials were sure the snow would put out the fire, so they took no action), the fire is expected to burn until next Spring. |

Empty Vesselby RKTComment: Subtle steam. Gentle, simple image, which makes for a pleasant view. I like the toning effect. |

Mar 11-24by bassboneComment: Superb light/shadow play. Love the textures of the stone and wood. Has a lot of elements of interest to enjoy exploring. My rational sequential personality loves the precision of the squared vertical and horizontal lines. This is meaningful perspective to me and fine photography. |

Day 6by salmiakkiComment: Super good sports-action shot. Love the exposure, colors and clear sky. My constructive criticism is the crop. While certainly composed asymmetrically, the paragliders are about to run into the left margin. On subjects that are moving, or are about to move, it is usually eye-pleasing to leave room for that action. |

The Lone Pigeonby mrchhasComment: While the light is super harsh, you've created a pleasant image by getting down at the pigeon's eye level. This technique makes for a charming shot. |

#6: 3-24-2012by Art RoflmaoComment: Great capture, of course. It's too center-middle for me, with an excessive border. Needs a harmonious crop. But, I like the doggy very much. |

6 - Snow Slideby bhugeComment: A very cool phenomenon. Snow trying to return to its liquid state. |
