Ying Yangby YoodioComment: The window light on the pearl is nice, and the contrast is just right. Don't think scallops make pearls, tho. {g} |

Breakfastby VodkamanComment: Closer. The faces and toast are all that's really necessary in this image. The rest is just distractions. |

Shofield Ford Covered Bridgeby ClubJuggleComment: Wonderful subject for B/W, and nicely composed, but another day or time of day when you could have avoided the burnt out sky would be better. Tough when there's only a week. |

Spiked Beautyby shortredneckComment: You might have isolated the spiky bits to greater effect. Big leaf is oof, and others at bottom don't add much. Nice tones, though slightly dark in the shadows. |

wrinkled clothby defrostedComment: Hands make a great B/W subject, but the mixed lighting and busy background detract. With a bit of underexposure and careful post-processing you could probably make the lighting work (it's almost there as-is), and a crop would handle the rest. Good eye. |

nauticalby censuraComment: Perhaps if you'd gotten in close to the propeller and bit of chain, you'd have found an interesting image. Looks like there were some nice, long shadows you could have capitalized on, and certainly some great texture in the rusting metal and weathered concrete. The shipping container, oil barrels and bit of cable at top detract from a possibly interesting piece of work. |

Tree tulipby JonniboyComment: Very nice tonal range. The light in front of and behing the flower is a bit of a negative, IMO. There's enough going on in the flower to not need the stem and leaf bits. |

The Beachby wolfjackComment: The water is beautiful, but the sand and buildings are a bit too dark. |

Capturedby CountComment: I love the grain in the L bg. Not as wild about it on her face. The high contrast is good for defining the line of her profile (possibly better w/o the hand), but I'd prefer it smoothed out just a bit. Very worth looking at. Thanks! |
