Black and white would have more impact than the gray and gray you've got here. Bump up the contrast, and maybe try for a less static composition and POV. You were on a good track here, but could have pushed it a little to greater effect, IMO.

Very low key. Nice and soothing, but I'd like to see more white to balance the black and all those mid-tones. Very nicely composed.

Her face has a lot going on for 'simple', but what a great B/W conversion! I like your border treatment, as well. It could be my cr@p monitor here at work, but her eyes look slightly soft.

So tiny... You could crop some of the left side and not lose anything important. Nice work, but tough to see. Go for 640 on the long side.
