This is a really good portrait. You can see the pain in his face, the emotion contrasts well with the skull tattoos. What bugs me is the mask (?) in the background. The photo would be even better if it was removed, or shot from a slightly different angle.

Great shot, I really like the symmetry. This is one of the rare occasions a centred horizon actually works. You've really managed to capture the texture in the clouds.

Meets the challenge well, but I don't like the centered horizon, would be better to put it on either of the thirds lines.

Nice shot, I feel you managed to make peaceful an implement usually used for battle.

This would work well if you fix the composition up a bit. The candle over the tsuba bothers me a bit. I would have put the katana on the top horizontal thirds line, and the candle on the bottom right thirds intersection point. The handle looks a bit strange to me, don't know if that is due to the lighting or if it's just the way the handle is.
