Your certainly made that lens work for its money. Nice result indeed. Bear in mind anti-beauty is often applauded more than naive innocent beauty, at least at DPC. This is entirely lacking in grunge, wrinkles, grease, and other metaphoric dirt. Whatever the score, you are a winner. I wonder about the crop. The colour and subject are very nice, but perhaps the crop is not perfect.

You certainly show those drooling wannabes that no matter the camera (350XT for instance rather than a 3K Canon 5D), if you got what it takes you can take fine photos. I think you have got what it takes plus a nice unusual model too. Well done to you both. I look forward to seeing more. Don't let the critiques get you down. Remember, mostly all publicity is good.... as long as your heart was in the right place...

I think it worked well. This is a very nice location to visit time and time again, in all types of light (and weather). I tend to revisit places I like and simply find a perch and watch. Some nice photos come from such moments.

There's a certain oddity in seeing names like "deep 2" in such old architectural settings. I suppose that is the idea - to be different by showing a difference, or something. But I cannot help but think that such names are going to look pretty passe sooner or later. I like the photo, BTW.
