Dirty by LalliSigComment: Odd picture. The hair and shoulders look almost like a negative, whereas the face/neck don't. It's a beautiful image in a way, although, what is missing (to me) is any reason why such a beautiful young woman would get all muddy like that, especially with makeup on. ~9 |

All the dirt that's fit to printby CitadelComment: The idea is good (for this challenge), but I think the start, black background doesn't do much to sell it (the idea). There seems to be a connection missing somehow, a reader, a printing press, a place where they sell these things, something. As it is, it's just floating there on black. ~6 |

Flowers by librodoComment: Manny? She looks almost too clean for a "dirt" challenge :) Beautiful picture, sort of risky, I think. I think most people wouldn't put the girl at the edge in the middle there, and the big wall overpowering the right hand side, but it works! Two things I would consider (if I dare) - (1) to make her dirtier, maybe the dress dirtier; (2) to put the dead flowers to the other side and her more in the bottom corner, maybe even try to increase the sense of almost vertigo. The light is great. ~8 |

lostby rinacComment: Looks like the tracks from a giant jeep going over a rounded shape, like a little earth. Very beautiful. I like the sense of anxiety that you get from the top/bottom frames, they sort of "compress" the image and make it urgent. ~9 |

Dirt on the windowby krglComment: Beautiful geometric abstract. I like it that it isn't totally straight, and I really like the pattern of the screen on the left hand side. IMVHO the raised border (the cream coloured frame) is a bit distracting, because the rest of it is so geometric and angular, and the frame is sort of soft looking, and, at least to my eyes, they don't really quite match. ~8 |

Dust to Dustby SammieComment: Very good entry. I like the concept, and I like the execution. The light is beautiful (is it evening light?). It shines on the flowers/flags, and a bit on the grasses behind them, like a beautiful backdrop, but the grave and dirt aroud it are in shadow for the most part. Great match for the challenge. ~9 |

It's a Wonderful Life by mpetersComment: This reminds me of Judy's pictures, beautiful cows, great angle. Is this Judy? Good entry for dirt, good title. The cows have a sort of halo around them (angelic cows?) :) ~7 |

blackmail_dirtby PhotoDaveComment: So you blackmailed the kid to let you take pictures by letting him (her?) doodle on your walls? Neat. Good candid. ~7 |

Dirt on Whiteby fotomann_foreverComment: Perfect dirt on white picture! Sandy dirt. The colours are great. As a picture, by itself, outside of the "dirt" challenge, I don't know, it's very clean and professional, but it doesn't have much to offer outside of that. For the challenge, it's great. ~9 |

Oreos and Milkby ellamayComment: The title is perfect for this image. Love the soft blues into grey/whites, and the dirt showing through. One thing you might consider doing is to crop a bit more off top and bottom, to get rid of the darker blueish line at the bottom, and tha partial dirt/ice things at the top; just for a slightly clearner look. ~8 |
