Using selective colours might help. I also work within channels, adjusting colours for each channel separately, and that might work for this kind of image. You could also try using hue/sat/lightness in an adjustment layer (either for the whole image or for one/more of the channels). It's alway very difficult to tell what would work with someone else's image.

The strong colours are quite beautiful, although the yellows of the rocks above look a bit overdone, and the sky looks a bit fakey (especially because of the halo around the edges by the rocks).

Lovely idea! The juxtaposition of green/mudbed is very good. So is the composition overall. I do not know what F-stop you used, but it looks a bit like the mudbed is every so slightly blurry - in this case I think it would work really well if both the branch and the mud were perfectly in focus, clear. I think, if it were me, I'd also try to work on creating a bit more drama, less soft colours, more strength - it's a great situation for a "strong" picture (IMO).

Love the shiny windows (reflecting the sun going down), and the beautiful, soft sky colours.

Out of curiosity, do you have a landscape version of this, something along the lines of the sand in front excluded, only the top part of the fence included, and there would be space for the house to "look into" (so to say)? Sort of like working with the best of what's here - the sand in front is not too good, and it doesn't add anything much to the image - a longer fenceline and sky or whatever is there in front of the house might give it a better sense of scale and more interest. I don't know. Something to try.

You got the DOF (depth of field) just right - the woman/child are nicely in focus, and the background is nicely blurred. To my eyes, it looks odd to cut off the woman's head right in the middle of the glasses, I really am left wishing I could see up to her forehead at least. The light is very good on her head, clothing, and the baby's head; her hands are a bit bright.

What a beautiful place to make images! The colours/textures in the sand are good to look at. The composition is quite good also.

What the image sort of lacks, IMVHO, is drama. It's a beautiful shot of a good looking place, but it's missing a sense of grandeur - this must be a place where things look spectacular on a grand scale, but the picture makes it look sort of small, like a sandbox, not a desert. The landscape orientation would probably help, although it would be fun to figure out how to make a stunning desert image in portrait orientation.

The dress almost looks like it's hanging in front of you, probably because of the curved wires from the cage, they sort of replicate the dress' straps. Beautiful concept, really well done.

Strange picture. Where did you get the idea of mixing ink and hairgel? The drop looks almost like it has a little bite taken out of it. I like the detail on the outside of the lily.
