 Took this exposure on January 13, on my way home from Dubai, where I and my family spent our long weekend. It's a stunning drive during some parts, and plain old nothing to see in others.

I saw this barren tree just sitting among the sand dunes and had to stop for a picture. I think it came out rather well. There were camels near by, but those shots didn't come out as well. Too bad though, as it would have made some great subject matter.

I did some layering on this one with the contrast and brightness, and some color adjustments. But what you see is pretty much what I saw. I just made it a little nicer to look at. Hope you enjoy!

What a beautiful place to make images! The colours/textures in the sand are good to look at. The composition is quite good also.

What the image sort of lacks, IMVHO, is drama. It's a beautiful shot of a good looking place, but it's missing a sense of grandeur - this must be a place where things look spectacular on a grand scale, but the picture makes it look sort of small, like a sandbox, not a desert. The landscape orientation would probably help, although it would be fun to figure out how to make a stunning desert image in portrait orientation.

This is a well-composed shot. Nice exposure, great use of layering the scene to draw the eyes through the shot. Well done, and welcome to DPC. :)
