__by undieyatchComment: The b/w looks quite nice here. The detail on the petals is good. I think I would prefer the petals not to be cut off. |

Day 1 - Seven Gourdsby bdennyComment: Beautiful B/W. I like it how you kept so much detail, pretty much everywhere. I really like it that there is plenty of contrast without going to extremes. Beautiful image. |

Cosima B&Wby AliciaComment: Nice placement of the cat at the edge of the light. It seems a bit on the soft side. |

BW-pinebough.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: He, he, I don't think there's a problem with the b/w in this image, it looks fine to me (maybe just a bit more punch would help, just maybe though). I think the main problem many of us have is finding subjects that work well in b/w. In this case, I think that colour would sort of make the image, and making it in b/w instead sort of takes away from the impact. Does that make sense? |

B&W - Day 1by mkComment: Lovely conversion. I like how the tracks and the stones in between them just glow. I keep feeling the image is tilted. I like the soft sky and the birds. Looking at this, I wonder about the horizon line right in the middle. Sometimes it works, it makes this look very peaceful. Sometimes it makes things look too peaceful.
I'd be very interested in finding out how you did this one - shot colour? Converted - how? I love the conversion. |
