Untitledby aznymComment: yes this is a good candid or faux-candid, with great high contrast black and white, but also excellent use of the square canvas, with the area that should be well lit under headlights actually being a mighty diagonal shadow over half the photo. bravo |

Wikani Skies the limitby Ecce_SignumComment: oh wow I am throwing away my dog photos and possibly my dogs.
oh well, my dogs came back again. I can't be rid of them or my dark grainy imagery.
but this is transformative. |

Overlapby streetpigeonComment: I'm a sucker for the texture of chainlink fence. you've also added interest by having it slightly off a direct angle. creating slight diagonals and slight perspective. |

don't goby mariucaComment: a great example of an art piece being more than the image. the title transforms the image, makes it sad and funny, and the image is perfectly suited to that. the shadow hand is a ghost. our desire is an ineffectual ghost. |

- - - -by krnodilComment: another good use of blank sky, this time black instead of white. it gives a sense of place, scale, mood.
also, I love the way the street painting is the same brightness as the lights on the cars. it is a disorienting effect that makes this seem like black ink scratched away instead of a photo. |

The Unbearable Lightness of Beingby ubiqueComment: oh wow, how did this Posthumous Blue get here? poor guy will have to feast on thorns.
I don't want to alarm you but your dog has tusks.
the fields of darkness and light, the thorns as a texture, it is a dazzling image, and certainly thrives in its square cage |

faithby RKTComment: thank you for gracing us with this instead of winning a ribbon in a challenge (you did that anyway, so who needs this one?)
I like most the disorienting angle. faith is vertiginous, the hope that if we get dizzy enough someone will catch us.
and yes, well composed for the square. a very bold diagonal indeed, pointed to heaven. |

This looks so much like a coin. I love a visual analogy |

Here's My Dogby streetpigeonComment: I don't have the cleaning or photography skills to do a "Here's My Dog" image.
Sophie and Darcy would love to meet your dog. |
