Spirit of a treeby timmiComment: this might be just as formulaic as a bee on a flower shot, but I just can't resist this formula. It is so spiritual, mystical, mysterious. It seems to get to the very essence of photography. 9 |

Gone Fishin'by tuffyComment: great colors, extremely dynamic composition really makes the action exciting and it's always interesting to see the world behind the camera interacting with the world in the frame. 9 |

Sunday Morningby aznymComment: terrific splash of shape and form with so little solidness, it's almost all flatness except for one item, and even that item is folded up! I feel like I'm in a world that exists between the second and third dimensions... and I'm flying! 9 |

i-Dby jmogensenComment: I love the swirl of arm and hair around the partially obscured face, and the way she presses her lips against this frame, emphasizing just how closely, sensually hemmed in she is by it, but also suggesting some sort of love of herself, an impish self-affirmation that makes her all the more attractive. 10 |

The Violin Lessonby e301Comment: This is fun, and allegorically profound, and visually profound with all those layers of beach, puddle, beach, pool, beach, ocean. And the title is the coup de gras! 9 |

Lostby cheekymunkyComment: the horse does seem lost, and not just lost, but coming apart... losing itself to the flora it is immersed in. I think this effect is created by having the cutoff right at the torso and having its nose immersed. You are right on the edge: is it a picture of a horse, or a field? I love the edge. Also, a beautiful raking light on the horse. 9 |

'Moon' flowersby MadMan2kComment: I know there are some dings in this image, but they just can't detract from its magic otherworldliness. 9 |
