softlyby rinacComment: Simple enough, but very well executed. The softness is tangible. :) 9 |

asleepby cheleComment: this picture rocks! the orange of the cat is so rich, and is framed by a simple yet fascinating composition of horizontal fields. I "discovered" you in the pastels challenge and now I'm making you a favorite. You do good work! |

powder (blue) roomby cheleComment: this is so painterly, such an elegant composition, such a transformation of your surroundings. I love the yellow that seems to only appear when activated by sunlight, as opposed to the stolid blue where you would least expect it: on the ceiling, a sad imitation of the sky. The light bulb sun emits no light, just feeds off what comes through the window. This photo, so poignant, is one of my ribbon winners and perhaps the blue ribbon (fortunately, I don't have to make that decision). 10 |

untitledby BeeCeeComment: I was your solo 10, and this was one of my ribbon winners. You used a common piece of tulle to such great dramatic effect, simply by juxtaposing it against rusted barbed wire. Amazing how that juxtaposition transforms the fabric, forces it to represent something, and at the same time forces the barbed wire to represent something. That is what the artist/photographer does: impose meanings on the world around her. |

[ Tiempo ] [ Time ]by muur88Comment: how right you were about the chalk, but this was one of MY ribbon-winners (a fat lot of good that'll do you). It fulfills the challenge with pastel yellow and green, creating a washed-out pastel effect that perfectly fits the mood of this piece, a washed-out urban setting, washed out of hope, washed out of commerce, washed out of notice. But you show us a man whose story must surely be as interesting as any on the tv or movie screen. 10 |

Abstractavatorby bvoiComment: cool. I've never seen an elevator look so sexy! A truly disorienting, epiphanic shot. |

Brash Connectionby bvoiComment: I like the strange lighting. It looks like some powerful manmade light source soon after sundown (or before sunrise?). Great composition. But what is that rock thing? I think you should comment more on your photos! :P |

redred.jpgby bvoiComment: love the model and her expression, love the motion blur on the bottom of the dress, love that your pallete is only yellow and red, love the gradation of light on the red. |

golfing with daddyby irishempressComment: I don't mind the processing. It creates a dreamy, nostalgic mood. But I think his red shirt should be a little less bright to help the dreaminess. I'd rather have my eyes drawn to him by the composition than by the color. |
