I bumped this up to 8 from 7 because of your daring composition and the wonderful spidery shape of that flower. A real pleasure to look at.

There's nothing here that I recognize as bokeh, but this is such a brilliant photo that I have to give it a 9. Just look at how expressive those lines of rain are, and how monumental that dark shape is. Wow.

The background adds compositional interest but also suggests themes for the portrait, since a fence has so much symbolism in it. Combined with your title, I imagine the child will always be figuring out ways around fences. He also seems a little saddened by it, even though he's not looking at it. But the fence is contrasted by the sky that is reflected in his eyes. I think I also see the reflection of an adult figure. Is he a fence, an obstacle to the sky? Or is he the gatekeeper that will open up new worlds? 9

Incredible sense of drama and epic scope achieved for a handful of xmas lights?? Miraculous. And bokeh is an essential part of the effect. 10

I have other 10s in this composition, but I would give this an 11 if I could. This is my blue ribbon (which means your score is doomed. Sorry.). Your bokeh as ghosts in it that repeat the shapes of the foreground subject. How the heck did you even do that?? Your subject has beautiful motion blur that would be fascinating even without the magnificent bokeh behind it. Wow, wow and again wow. Have a fave and a smile. :)

Perfect fulfillment of the challenge. Bokeh is not the subject, but it is prominent and enhances the subject... and is visually stunning. I don't even like raptor shots, but this demands attention. Mostly because of the bokeh, but also the unusual coloring and the patterns of light on the bird's wing. Simply gorgeous. 10

Great composition. I only gave it a 6 because it was streetcars instead of trains. I'm such a slave to convention!
