I like it, this moment of faux-sophistication given weight by a photograph, or rather created by the photograph, or rather created and debunked by the same photograph. For some reason, this photo makes me think of you as a butterfly catcher instead of a photographer.

Is that hair in front of her eyes? It looks like it might be the charcoal that athletes put under their eyes to protect from glare. Her right eye is completely blacked out. It gives a hint of darkness, a suggestion of "black eyes," the hint of something underlying the casual perfection of a cheerleader. One wonders what frightening worlds those arms might be reaching into, especially since there is no background to give her context. Fascinating.

I love this. First of all, you've got the bold composition of simple shapes: the plate, the stairs. Then you've got the ambiguous expression further hidden by paint. Wonderful.

the lighting is great, composition is good, and you've caught him at a great moment, an instant before flight. I've never seen quite this moment before. Powerful and exciting. It's almost like a glimpse into the mystery of flight.
