I love this. First of all, you've got the bold composition of simple shapes: the plate, the stairs. Then you've got the ambiguous expression further hidden by paint. Wonderful.

She looks so serious. The plate draws the attentions from the face, perhaps you should cropped out the finger.

Sweet little girl and nice attention to values in that makeup of hers. The plate is a tad big, but can't have everything.

What a cutie! I kinda wish she wasn't holding the plate up, but I understand that at that age, you get what you can take. This turned out very nice in black and white. I love the face painting.

OK, now that I look at this longer, I think I may like the plate in there. It tells a story. I can just imagine that she finished her 3rd piece and cake and is wanting more. "but mom, why not?"

Anyway, there you go, you get 2 opinions for the price of 1 :-)
