untitledby krnodilComment: Oh this is so my kind of image! I love spooky painting with light! I can't even tell whether it's human or canine or what! Excellent! Centering might be interesting, but even off center, I might crop just a bit of the bottom. |

Bath? Why?by jaysonmcComment: Haha, I just imagined that any blur around the nose was because he was twitching it in distaste about the bath! I really like this comp - the shower hose is absolutely key. |

Why can't I remember the next note?by bmartuchComment: I think candids are the hardest thing to shoot - and once shot - making them appeal to this crowd is near impossible - well, for me anyway. Also, I've noticed that voters get irritated when what the subject is looking at is out of frame. Even if the subject is a cat! So I guess you might have gotten a double-whammy for this pic. Aaah, the heck with 'em :P |

why did I ever come to this country?by sevilduvarciComment: Pretty decent score for a non-dpc photo. I love the mess here - the downed cone, the graffiti, the belly-scratching - I'd be wearing those expressions there too! (In fact, I think I did when I lived in the east village!) It's not in your face sympathetic like a dirty child, it's very documentary - there is no fantasy. No cropping of a depressing existence. No pretty dirt. Damn well done. |

UhOh and Hehby colorcarnivalComment: These be some cute doggies! Are those their names ? ;-) I like the fill-the-frame feeling here. I hope you do more portraits of these guys/gals - particularly with that rug/color as backdrop, and similar lighting and dof. Possibly from a doggie-height perspective. I'm gonna go look for more photos of them now! |

eighty-eighthby boysetsfireComment: I'm so glad that this didn't get totally clobbered for being original. Such a futuristic-looking scene. You really eke a lot of mood out of a little coloration. |

Why use hairspray?by karenkComment: Loved this - 10 from me. Outstanding detail - and a terrific choice of subject. Title too. I love what chalice said below - it's right on! |

Tomato Moon Risingby colorcarnivalComment: Hey this is some kind of splendid! Can't believe it only scored in the 5's! Excellent control of lighting - you really made this glow! |

On Guard (Day 13)by colorcarnivalComment: Love the bug on a grid thing! Posthumous and I have been playing with that theme too. Hey maybe this is a candidate for selective saturation of the hopper. I like your crop. Nice sharpness! |
