Dom Perignon Lushesby scarbrdComment: Nice shot of the label. The lighting enhances the "classy" feel. Good luck with the humour aspect. |

Double Druid Pi by scarbrdComment: Blue blue blue - woo hoo! Congrats on the blue ... and this one shows up on your front page (if you have enough images showing). Congratulations teammate!
So...both your ribbons are from trips away from home. You should sell the house, by a house-bus and hit the road. It's the only way to ensure you get more ribbons you know ;) Message edited by author 2007-05-09 03:52:19. |

Spring berriesby ShamanComment: Hi from the Critique Club.
Composition: The shot follows the rule of thirds. Thats good.
Technical: I like the colours in this. A nice contrast of red and blue. I do feel that the reds of the berries are a bit oversaturated, they seem to glare a bit.
Feel: I love the colours and the negative space. I just feel that the berries aren't natural and that bothers me.
PM me if you have queries.
Edit: typo :) Message edited by author 2007-05-05 05:01:50. |

Cannon watching over our Flagsby rugman1969Comment: Hi from the Critique Club.
Fit: Well, the image seems to fit the rule.
Composition: The composition is ok, the "horizon" does seem to be right in the middle of the frame though. The line of flags seems to draw my eye away from the canon rather than to it, which is what you would want.
Technical: Here's where your score was hit hard. As the commenters said, the overexposed sky is not a good look. I am guessing you were shooting towards the sun.
Feel: It is hard to look past the overexposed sky but if I do so (and the average voter may not) I don't have any emotional attachment to the image so it would fall in the "average" range of 5-6.
Congrats on a PB, PM me if you have any queries. |

The Mother Flowerby lovethelightComment: Reminds me of "The Day of the Triffids" but in a nice way :)
I'm not voting in this challenge. The lighting on the sunflower and the person don't quite seem to match, almost but not quite. |

After the Rainby kirbicComment: I'm not voting in this challenge but my thoughts if I was..
Either...
a) this used the Expert Editing rules and somehow it just doesnt work for me. It feels like a combination of images but the colours in each were not matched well, or
b) the lighting seen here was in fact the lighting on the day, in which case it is a very surreal scene.
The challenge being expert may hinder your score if (b) is the case. |

Late Night Readingby pipsqueakComment: Such a sweet image - it's the sort of thing you'd expect to see on a biscut tin from the 50's. The lighting on this is wonderful. A more traditional aspect ratio and this would make a good greeting card. |
