DC Gridlock!

Color would have made more impact here. Gridlock? The road above is empty and the lane coming at you is not that full. To me "gridlock" means nothing moving because no room to move anywhere, Color would have shown their tail lights on. In B&W they don't appear to be lit showing traffic stopped. Just my thoughts and feeling on gridlock, like we get in Atlanta, Ga. Otherwise the picture is a good photo - good cropping, focus, dof, etc. Just poor execution. PTL5

The more I look the more I like - not for the challenge, but for the picture. It is really a great photo. I can already read them - another "cute pet' picture. I'm sick of them. Sorry I still like them and always will. Pet magazine exist and I read them. I have a boxer dog and maine coon cat. Here's a nice 7. PTL

Over sharpened jumps out at me - her hair, scarf, and brochure & book. Like the little girl behind her on her left. She almost looks afraid and the guy with her looks suspicious of you. Great depth to their eyes and expressions. Good photo just wish you hadn't sharpened it. Maybe lightened and adjusted the contrast instead. I try both to see which is better. Just my thoughts. PTL6

Where and what is this? It looks very interesting. Title or no title I'd want to read the article to answer my 2 questions. Haze shows up well over the valley. Nice background - really adds to the whole of the picture. Good focus, colors, crop. Even the shadow is good. It shows why there is a remnant of snow. Great photo well done. PTL8

I don't understand what your picture is trying to tell me. Are these homes about to be destroyed. Are they advertising them for sale? Guiess I'll hve to read the article to see, and I will. Good photo, Bright and clear. Good composition with nice execution. Just with your title told me a little more. PTL8

This is an awesome shot. Showing it from above really adds so much to the shot. I'm not sure what you did with the coloring but I would have liked it in full color so the oil spill would have shown up better for what it is. I like the subject matter, the focus, the execution, the centering. It's got soft focus. The coloring draws my eyes to the cars which are not the subject. The oil spill is the main focus of the shot. In color you would have been drawn to it. Still a good shot. PTL7

Christmas Time - Town Square Gets Festive

I personally don't feel that 4 little Christmas balls, one so hidden I almost missed it, is not festive. Good idea but poor execution. Decent picture but doesn't cause me to want to see any more pictures, much less read the article. Picture looks took crowded. Should have zoomed back - would have uncrowded or uncluttered pic, and might have shown some festiveness. PTL5

Should have been in soft color. Would make the messages on the wal stand out, as well as the heart felt things left there. This doesn't impace in B&W. You've got to get their attention to get them to read the article. Otherwise technically good photo. PTL6
