survival of the quickestby rozComment: Yay! Top Ten in FS!! Glad this made up for the - ahem - bird photo. This is the most awesome catch. Go to National Geographic and look around on their site for a way to submit incredible nature photos. I mean - I'm pretty sure that NONE of us have ever seen a dragonfly eat a fly. I didn't even know that flies were on their menu. In any case - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! |

strollby nixterComment: I didn't vote on this challenge, but I did notice this image and thought it was completely brilliant (still do) - had to be yours. You should get a Posthumous Blue for this. |

Babyby colorcarnivalComment: Well, unlike the majority of the voters, I love this - big fan of high-key (see my miserable scoring Jan FS). You've given a good photo an artistic twist and made it visually so much more interesting. The conversion is excellent, too. |

Cotton Candy Dreamby KenComment: Excellent night shot with brilliant colors - the reflection on the snow is just stunning. There might be a few too many elements in the photo to make it flow well. Nonetheless, I feel it's sorely underrated. |

Just before dawn....by salmiakkiComment: Well darn, Sarah! So close! I love this shot - the clarity is absolutely wonderful, as are the colors. And you sure did better than I did - ha! :o) |

Beaconby jonfrommkComment: Jon - I love the contrast between the lighted parts of the dome and the dark tree. The tones are really excellent. Is that Satin Steel? Clearly unappreciated and underrated - this is SO not a 4.9. |

Light's Up the Skyby CharleneComment: This is very much your style, Charlene. I love it - the starkness, the high contrast with the blue in there - really stunning. Stupid voters, I say! Goes to show you what happens when you try something out of the DPC box. |

The Serengetiby bucketComment: Beautiful photo - the ethereal zebras in the back really make this exceptional. Glad you got a decent score for it. |
