 I think I was born in the wrong century. Kinda odd to take all this technology and work at creating something that looks like an old process. :)

steps:
crop
black&white adjustment layer, infrared filter preset, tint 42, 8%
used this at multiply, 100%
used this texture at overlay 70%
used Goodman's texture twice, first at hard light 44%, then at lighter color 20%
in the goodman layers, masked out a small part of the vase
levels
curves
high pass in overlay mode 70%
resize, usm

Love the minimal, monotone feeling to this and then the vase brings a dash of pattern for greater interest.
