Absolutely love the leading lines the way the light plays upon the scene. B&W was a great choice for it really lets the way the light plays on the path, the pillars, and the leaves shine through. It also lets the shadows along the path pop visually.

Wow! Love the sweep of the mountain that rises majestic and tall over the land and simple homestead below. The person(s) who lives there definitely awakes to some majestic beauty every morning (and this being under the shadow of a volcano paints it as a dangerous beauty)

Love the play of light in this field. Light and shadow dance upon the grass and casts the trees in beautiful silhouettes. The capture scenery and the colors is very beautiful and serene.

What a great find! The peace(ful) serenity of the ocean and the peace symbol drawn in the sand. Love the juxtaposition of the two in this shot. And I see that I am not the only one who sees a echo of the peace symbol in the swirl of the water.

Both are great and are strong compositions. This one has some nice elements that the other does not. The surfer is smaller in this shot thus showing that he part of an even larger universe. His pose, like the other, is contemplative; gazing out at the larger world. The lighting shows off some golden hues of the mountains/hills to the right. My eye instantly traveled to the surfer in the bottom right and then slide to the backdrop that has the pier. The pier acts like a leading line that directs our attention back to the sea and what the surfer may be reflecting upon.

The colors are fabulous and gotta love the texture that I can almost feel through the screen. Photo composition makes a great 'abstract' capture of the city with colorful shapes and sizes to engage the eye.

Mysterious and serene is the mood I get as I gaze upon the beautiful view. Love the colors that play into the mood projected as well. Simple, elegant and beautiful are the woods and the water pictured here.

Fantastic capture - love the goats traveling along this mountainous terrain. My first thought was the story "Three Billy Goats Gruff". Composition and the b&w conversion is lovely.

Round the bend

Very dramatic mountainscape and clouds! Love the perspective. I like how the curb of the street curves and seems to bend around the far outskirts of the mountain - like a ripple from the center.

Argh, now I have the song "You belong to the city, you belong to the night" going through my head! You've captured the beauty and lovely colors of the city at night - love the sparkle and the lights of the city and the reflections in the water below.
