I didn't expect to see a funeral parlor in this challenge but then again we often don't expect such things. I like that light coming in through the window and the people in the shadows. There's a story here to be told. Nice work.

A Mailbox Forlorn

I like old buildings too and this shot draws me in immediately. Showing the mailbox with a bit of the house in background is a tease and makes me want to see more.

I almost didn't see the tape until I read your comment. This is certainly different and a good job of showing an ordinary object in a unique way. B&W fits this perfectly.

I can't decide which I like better, but this is fantastic. What makes this work for me is the high contrast on the butterfly to keep my eye focused there, and the great tones in the leaf and beautiful bokeh. I also want to know how you got him to smile!

Reflections (Week 11)

I like the effect you've achieved with the reflection, but want to see a tad bit more of the people. Those not quite vertical columns work great with the perfectly vertical ones in the background.

This reminds me of the Three Colors movie trilogy - Blue, White, and Red. There are several threads running from movie to movie and one involves women throwing away a bottle. Each represents a different stage of life. Here we have the young girl on a bicycle, an older person in the car, most likely impatient with the elderly woman walking. Simply fantastic street photography.

I missed this during the challenge (didn't enter or vote), but this is one of those WOW shots. Great job on the B&W conversion and capturing so much detail. This is one I'd love to see HUGE on a wall somewhere.

The tilt gives it a bit of character, IMO. The parallel between the shadow and road creates some nice contrast. Are you one of the shadows?
