This is a really nice macro, Greg. I like that purple color to give it a somewhat alien look.

I think the filter works well. Just a suggestion, but I'd try to rotate it so that reflection is on a true vertical line. I'm not positive it will look better, but it's worth a shot!

One of the great things about photography is that it encourages you to explore your world more. I've also stopped many times at places for photos that I would have kept driving by if it weren't for the opportunity to take a picture.
