I really like this shot - lots of contrast, lots to look at, and yet no main subject.

On a side note, I was going through my June pictures last night and came across a similar picture, shot in a similar greenhouse, with the same lens. I didn't convert because I didn't think it would look good. Guess what I'm going to work on tonight?

I like the lighting; it's a bit quirky but it works because it makes me want to see more in the shadow area, and keep me viewing longer.

Now this is my kind of shot. It reminds me of the walkway by me but more fun, considering it's right on the water. I like the line created by the walkway; it pulls me into the picture.

I really like the bright foreground and dark sky, and this just seems so "grand". It would be nice to see the shadows above just a bit brighter, as it stands my eye is drawn to the column and black sky.

I prefer this version over the re-edit; the darker tones add a bit of mystery to the overall effect. That guy must sure have been digging that novel to not even notice you were there taking his photo.

This is kind of hard on the eyes (not a bad thing) and yet absolutely compelling. There's not much to look at and yet so much to look at. Hopefully this all makes sense.

At first I thought this was a candid, but even thought it was set up it's quite funny. The HDR haloing isn't a distraction at all for this type of shot.
