I really like the bright foreground and dark sky, and this just seems so "grand". It would be nice to see the shadows above just a bit brighter, as it stands my eye is drawn to the column and black sky. |

This is wonderful. There is a real sense of the height and grandeur of the monument. |

Nice imposing angle -- really captures the hugeness of it. The top corner that's just barely clipped off strikes me as careless, but it hardly takes from the overall impact. Looks like you shot this early in the morning (or at dusk) which was wise. Nice BW processing too. |

You've done an amazing job keeping detail in both the lit and shaded areas of this, and you've got very good DOF here, too. I'd be interested to know what lens you used and what settings. I think this converted very well to B&W (though I have no idea what it looks like in color, mind you) because it puts the emphasis on the architecture. A well composed shot for that purpose as well. |
