Bhay's Colts Rugby Teamby sherpetComment: Another great photo, this one has lots of character showing through from the boys.
Again I seem to be getting hung up on the vinatge appeal of your rugby photos. Probably the uncommonness of rugby in the States that makes me think that way or maybe I'm recalling a scene from some long forgotten movie, I don't know. What I do know is that this is a great photo! |

Bhay's Rugby Faceby sherpetComment: Great photo, Sherpet! The color tones on this a very cool, nice and rich. They almost have a bit of a vintage feel to them, which to me seems very fitting for this photo. The only bugaboo to this excellent photo is the head that kind of sneaks into the left side of the frame. Well done! I'm curious to see some of the action shots froms this batch. |

Monarchby SJCarterComment: Yes, this composition is very cool. The way the whole thing separates from the background is awesome. Too bad you couldn't of zapped that butterfly with a growth ray, so he could of been a slightly larger element in the photo. Another great photo! Message edited by author 2006-08-28 12:53:14. |

Mill Mountain Starby SJCarterComment: Beautiful sky colors, the really set off what could of been a very busy subject. I'd say you handled the busy part really well and created a great photo. I imagine a printed version looks even better where you're not having to deal with the aliasing issues from all those straight lines. Message edited by author 2006-08-28 12:35:43. |

Sun Burstby SJCarterComment: Very beautiful photo, I like how the flower fills the frame yet doesn't take away from the subject. Very nice detail in the subject. Those striped antennae are kind of trippy. |

Blue Ridge Sunsetby SJCarterComment: I think I'm going to have to disagree with most of the others on this one. I typically enjoy layered and silhouetted landscapes like this, but this one seems a little flat tonally and also a little discontented composition wise. Not up to your standards, I think...of course you know what they say about opinions. |

Mr. Flyby SJCarterComment: Very nice on this one...you got some real zing on separating the subject from the background on this photo. Colors are rich and brilliant as well. Well done! |

Bambiby SJCarterComment: The colors tones of the fawn a very rich and beautiful. Great fawn photo, I've managed to snap a few fawns(much older though) myself here lately, but none as nice as this. I don't mind his face in the grass, but it sure would be nice if his eye was unobstructed. Oh yeah, did I say how nice the detail is! |

It's Not Easy Being Greenby SJCarterComment: Very good macro, your subject stands out fairly well from the background. Especially considering you were dealing with all greens. The only thing that bugs me about this photo is the dark spot of background by his tail(I'm assuming the end up in the air is the head), it seems to be a real eye-catch for me. Now, if it was dark like that all across the background the near neon greens of the subject would really pop. |
