Happy Ridersby vtruanComment: I'm not sure about the color cast. A little cold which doesn't make skin tones look that great. Nice expressions though. Was there a different background available? Leafless branches tend too just look too busy. 5 |

Mourning a young motherby kteachComment: The arm seems awkwardly composed. I'd have to see some other stuff to know what would be better though. Perhaps a little more contrast. The snow looks fairly gray. 5 |

Don't go too far!by RiponladyComment: I'd love to see the babies in this shot. It's an interesting background with the shadow splitting it into two. |

..gimme!by AzCKellyComment: Nice idea, but the photo just doesn't hold our interest for too long. Technicals are pretty good. Sharp, but perhaps adding some more red to the picture makes her skin look more lively. |

Mother of Threeby labudsComment: Hmmm, we all know mushrooms are just the fruit of the real mama below ground. DNMC...haha, just kidding. Nicely lit with a nice dark background. I'm bumping this to a 6. |

All American Momby jrjrComment: Seems to have some weird lighting going on. Keep working on your post-processing skills. Hair is really hard to outline properly. Try a feather to your selection or blurring the background on a separate layer and then erasing the parts on that layer you want in focus with a soft-edged eraser. That may lead to better results. I like your idea though. |

Dear Momby shankswareComment: I think it would have been more powerful if the writing was done by hand. This looks too "staged". Generally I don't prefer pictures where words are the subject or important to the meaning. Just a personal preference I guess. |

Little Motherby banmornComment: Looks a little cool (in tone, not temperature). I like color portraits to be warm. Makes the person look more alive. |
