The Badlands

What a stunning landscape with wonderful earthy colours. However, there̢۪s something about the unnatural harshness of this shot that isn̢۪t quite working for me. It may have been slightly over sharpened or it truly is like this in real life and I̢۪m not recognising it for never being there. It does look like a very interesting place.

You're right, no signs of life anywhere. Is this a volcano? The contrasting colours of the blue sky and red earth (Mars?) are lovely, as are the clouds.

Fireworks Over the Swan River

Fireworks over Sydney and now Perth. I̢۪ve been away a bit this month. Did I miss some celebration in November? I̢۪m pretty hopeless at night photography and haven̢۪t tried to capture fireworks yet so I̢۪m probably not the best to criticise but the building lights just don̢۪t seem as clear as other̢۪s I̢۪ve seen. However, the colours are fantastic, especially those reflected in the water. Overall, a pleasing image.
