 Playing with my new camera in one of my favourite areas for night shots and stumbled across a small fireworks display. Rotated, cropped, selective adjustments to exposure in different areas. Burned top half of image to remove smoke from fireworks. Bumped contrast and saturation, resized, USM, border, saved for web.

Fireworks over Sydney and now Perth. I’ve been away a bit this month. Did I miss some celebration in November? I’m pretty hopeless at night photography and haven’t tried to capture fireworks yet so I’m probably not the best to criticise but the building lights just don’t seem as clear as other’s I’ve seen. However, the colours are fantastic, especially those reflected in the water. Overall, a pleasing image.
