Although I also prefer your uncropped version I can see what you are trying to achieve. I don̢۪t think I̢۪ve ever been in a building with an external fire escape but I̢۪ve seen them in the movies all the time (seems to be a popular place for a gun fight). I do like the pastel colour and the cross pattern made by the balcony.

This is very nice and I do like your b&w conversions technique. However, I do prefer your other entries. I love it when motion blur of the subject is capture but this feels as though the camera movement as well as the subject conflicts a bit. I find his bright hand a bit distracting too. I only feel I can say this (which is purely only my opinion) as all of your other entries (haven̢۪t looked at the ones posted after this yet) are just so excellent. I am really enjoying your series.

This is a great capture and the colours a wonderful. I do think it would be worthwhile to clone out the bright spot on the flower bud as I find myself being drawn to it. Great details of the feathers.

That really is a lovely colourful image. I like the way the vertical trunks breaks up the image and adds more interest.

The soft colours are wonderful. I agree there is nothing to initially contact me with the image so you are forced to explore the image and there is much to appreciate there. I̢۪m not too sure about the boarder though. The colour does compliment the image but for me it competes for attention a little bit instead of isolating the image. Then again, I̢۪ve never really been that good with boarders and may not know what I̢۪m talking about.

What a great find and wonderfully shot and processed. Wasn't sure about the titled horizon but it doesn't seem to distract from the image so I guess it's intentional.
