The colours are wonderful and I like the shallow depth of field (achieved at f/10 – I wonder how it would look at f/2.8?). I really need to get a macro lens.

I’m also a fan of this version. Nice capture. Perhaps adding some grain and a bit of brown tinge (tricolour) may make it appear even more historic.

She was in a pool so I was wet for this one. Using a housing for my canon G11.


Thanks for this info. I've been too scared to use a housing for the usual reasons. I know I will do something wrong and end up with an expensive door stop. However, to get shots anywhere near as good as this maybe worth the risk and expense.

Hehe, if I was with you when you were taking this shot I would have been tempted to shake the branch.

The blue background contrasts nicely with the leave. Nice find.
