i think what makes this shot really interesting is the red and blue outfit he is wearing. not only are the colors very vibrant but they provoke some different emotions and feelings being that they are the U.S. colors. we've all heard about the contreversy of hurricane katrina and the lack of support from the government ... so the fact that such a classic new orleans fellow, who was probably affected by the hurricane, happens to be wearing the US colors. i hope that makes sense. :) anyways.... 8

an interesting perspective and i really like the idea here... however, it could have been executed better. to make this a really strong shot you would probably need a tripod, or something like it to avoid camera shake. then, it would be really neat to use your manual settings and have the shutter stay open for a couple of seconds to get the effect of long exposure. just some ideas :) 5

i like the angle and perspective u got on this shot. also, i think the border is very nice. the hue of blue in the sky looks a bit off to me though. perhaps if you shot this at a different time a day the lighting would produce some more visually appealing colors as well as some more detailing in the wood. 5
