8 - Nice color and capture. Criticism; difficult, as the 'darkness' adds to this image, but perhaps a tweaking of colors, not sure. A bit more definition (although good as is), but that may have required a different angle/perspective and this is obviously 'opportune' so who knows. Up to 8 from 7.

8 - Oh, very good capture/opportunity. The 'baby' is nice and sharp. Difficult to get 'it all' perfect in this. Criticism; mainly the composition and framing, but obviously depends what you had to work with. The colors are good, the texture in the nest that is discernible is good. To be able to get true 'stop motion' on that father(?) (and the detail on the bug(?) in it's mouth is good), is, I guess, lens/camera dependent. Just a little more context/space for this shot (again, if you had it) may have made this even better in my opinion. 640 height too, likely. Save for a different angle/perspective (retrospective obviously), not much to be done about the green behind 'father', which while makes this a more colorful shot overall, perhaps detracts slightly from the 'father' and the impact of this capture. Up to 8 from 7, mainly for 'difficulty'.

8 - Very nice. Like the lighting. Very nice composition. Criticism; whilst I like the 'effect' of those wings in the main focus and the softness to the other areas of the cardinal, just a fraction sharper, or better, a 'wider' DOF/focal area (lens dependent/etc likely of course), more 'glint' in the eye, possibly also 640 height too and incorporating more 'context', for a little more balance within the composition, would have made this even better in my opinion, but difficult to 'get it all'. Otherwise 'as is' but trying to 'somehow' accentuate the effect of those slightly raised wings/etc, if that makes sense. Up to 8 from 7.

Criticism; lost me on the title but matters not, just 'even sharper' and even 'more pop', make this 'even better' (obviously), but camera/lens dependent as well as opportunity. Maybe a fraction more space above the head, depending what you had to work with, of course, but not sure, 'works' well as is. Up to 8 from 7.

7 - Very nice composition, lighting and silhouette(s). Criticism; 'if only' a fraction sharper/more definition, make this even better in my opinion. Minor, but for advanced editing, perhaps cloning out that 'spot' by the right buck's knee. Difficult I imagine to tweak the colors more in this, but the light visible on the side of the middle buck's face 'emphasized' somehow, also may have given this just a little extra. Even though the horizon/land/slope is likely 'natural'/'as is', maybe rotating to get it level may have added a bit more 'drama' to this shot as well, not sure.

Criticism; difficult, the lily pads more OOF or sharper (difficult), and maybe a fraction more space above the duck (dependent of course) - and I want to say sharper, even 'more' stop motion, but very difficult, plus I am sure that this size doesn't show the detail larger does. Coloring, on the duck especially, very good. Perhaps a variation in cropping. Not sure on the frame. Up to 8 from 7.

9 - Very nice. Toning works well. Good composition. Criticism; mainly just wish the owl 'popped' more, but difficult, especially with the toning/contrast. Perhaps a more finely tuned crop on the right, not sure, works well as is. Up to 9 from 8.
